I have a real problem.

Publishing to Server 2003 from FP 2002.

I have a website with a email submission form on it. When i go to submit button i get the following error.

FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

There is nothing in the server event log to point me in the right direction.

This error occurs when the submission email has the same domain as the website. If i change the submitting email to a different domain the form works just fine and the email is sent and the user is taken to a completion (thank you) page.

How about a URL for the problem page?

Could be the SMTP on the new server isn't configure to send formmail.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal Smith

Hi unforgiven2,

I only looked at the one page of course, but you have ../thanks.htm as your confirmation page rather than simply thanks.htm

This syntax error is enough to set of rgw FrontPage error.

Micheal,

The ../thanks.htm was put into the confirmation page by frontpage because that page is in the root directory and the request page is in its own directory.

The syntax seems to work fine with a different email address as the destination.

I think the e-mail address you are using is wrong.
