Our company requires us to send out an email to all staff when we are going to be out of the office for an extended period of time. The subject always has to be "Where is (yourfirstname)?"

This applies to our sales reps, or anyone leaving early, coming in late, going to the dentist, etc. Out of 30 of us in the office, 2 of our sales reps are experiencing the following issue:

They send a "where is" email out sometime during the day. The next morning, when they open Outlook, that email automatically gets sent again. This ONLY happens to the "where is" email, only for these 2 users. I've searched some MS Outlook forums and haven't found a solution.

It it helps, we are using Google Apps with Outlook.

TIA for any/all replies!

It sounds like they're not actually sending the messages until they log on the next day. Check the following to see if they have Outlook setup to automatically send/receive messages:

Check the follow settomgs in their Outlook
1. Under Tools, select Options
2. Click Mail Setup Tab
3. Click Send/Recieve... button
4. Look and see if the box for Schedule an automatic send/recieve is checked and the amount of time is listed
5. Also see if the box for Perform an automatic send/receive when exiting.

Note: I have 2007 version of Outlook. The tabs may be a little different.

I get the message right after it's sent, and then I get it again the next morning. So does the entire office. They send numerous emails a day, but this is only happening to the ones that have "where is ...." in the subject line. I am perplexed!!

Are you sure they don't have some unusual or incorrectly configured rule setup?

I'm pretty sure they don't, but I will check again, thanks.
