Had a 'quick' job this week to change the subnet on a 4.2 CXI II with PRI to match the customer's data network and turn off DHCP as the customer's SBS server will handing DHCP from now on. There's only 20 phones on the site so bandwidth etc won't be a problem. I made the changes and re-loaded the controller with the 'system reset' command. It took about 25 minutes to reload - I did not see any errors on the RS232 port, it just seemed to take ages. Eventually when it started up all of the sets (5320) registered all ok but had 'Updating Applicication' - I think that's what it said (it was the same message you get as a 5320 just finishes starting up),,, anyway after about 15 minutes (and a very panicking me!) The keys finally loaded on the sets and all worked fine. It's been up for 3 days for now with no issues at all. I've never seen this before and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or any clue why it did it??
