Do you have any idea what may be going on here.

Yesterday I must have done something to outlook express which is making it behave in a very odd way.

If I double click a message to read it, it will not open as normal, but the "Minimized" icon will appear on my Windows quick launch toolbar at the bottom of my monitor.

If I click on this icon, it looks as though the message is opening somewhere "Below" the bottom of my monitor.

The only way that I can read a message is to right click on the "Minimized" icon and select "Maximized" The message will then fill the screen, but the resize handles at the side of the message do not appear.

Then I have the 3 choice's in the top right of the message, close, minimize, which work OK, or restore.
Restore looks as though it is vanishing below the bottom of my screen again.

This situation is starting to get on my nerves !!

Can anyone help ?

HI.

This is probably because you simply dragged a message window out of the screen somehow.

You have several options:

First of all, open a message (not maximized) so you'll be able to try to locate its window.

* Try to move the task bar to the side of the screen, you might find the top of the message down there in the small space you free.

* Try to set your monitor to a higher resolution, if your monitor supports one.

* Right click the message button and select move. Now play with the arrow keys on the keyboard to try to move it back inside the screen.

* If nothing else helps, and you are using Windows 98, you can restore the Registry to the date before the problem, by running the command SCANREG from dos COMMAND PROMPT ONLY (not from a DOS window).

Many thanks,
you were right about having dragged a message off the screen, setting the monitor to a higher resolution so that I could find it and re-position it, worked !

Thank you again
