Here is my setup:
Pentium 4 - 3.2GHz
1GB of RAM
Hard Drive 1 - 120GB 7200RPM ATA
Hard Drive 2 - 60GB 7200RPM ATA

Whenever I move or copy files between my hard drives, it is very slow. For example, a 1.5GB folder takes almost 20 minutes. Is there anything that you can think of that would cause this? Copying or moving files between partitions on the same drive are normal speed (very fast).

DMA is a biggie.. make sure DMA is enabled on both drives.

Without it, you will see very slow transfers..

Same IDE Cable. Ultra DMA is enabled for both drives.

you verified dma is enabled in the device properties in device manager? it should not list it as ultra dma.

Both are on the Primary Channel. Ultra DMA is enabled for both drives, but Device 1 (60GB Drive) says Current Transfer Mode: PIO Mode. Any reason why?

It says that under the IDE Controller portion.

PIO mode is what I figured would be the problem.

the IDE Controller only specifies the modes for the controller, not the devices.

Check the actual drive properties.

See if you can change the PIO mode, as that is why the transfer is so slow.

Got it figured out. For some reason the BIOS wasn't detecting it. Turned it to Auto, now everything is cool.

Thanks!

Awesome. Glad you got it working correctly.
