Does "traceSM" & "list trace station" work on the Avaya IP office system? I know it worked on the older systems that had system manager.

It seems so much better than wireshark and more direct/to the point. I'm spending 3-5 hours every day on researching stuff to better my abilities so any little bit of help or guidance would be really appreciated.

As said, for IP Office, System Monitor is capable of showing an awful lot for every call and action the system takes.

The IP Office System Status application shouldn't be underrated either. It renders a lot of what System Monitor does into plain english and its extension/trunk trace displays are very useful.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

monitor without unchecking certain things can be quite overwhelming to say the least... lol

Thanks a bunch for getting back to me. What has been said is what I was expecting to hear but I did not know the available tools were as helpful as everyone mentioned. Good to know for sure.

I installed Wire Shark and began learning that software in anticipation for the replies that were posted.

Wireshark experience won't hurt. Carry on with that. The IP Office tools see things from its perspective. Wireshark allows you to see the traffic at other points in its journey.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
