Hi there,

Very simple question here - but i cant seem to find a very simple answer via google etc.....

I have 3 fields in my access 2003 database:

forename
surname
fullname

I want the "fullname" field to be equal to the forename & surname - i have tried various syntax in the "default value" field but not having any luck?

Any help you can give me would be great,

many thanks,
Neil

I had thought about using a field when i build my form, but the problem is, i want to use the forename and surname as a value in a look-up table in a another table?

thanks for the reply,

Neil

That would be an unusual thing to do. Normally you would use an ID/Key field. This helps to avoid problems with spelling, people with the same names, and so on.
