I've been using Sidekick 2 for many years, and have never upgraded, except from Sidekick 1. It's worked fine in Win 3.1, Win 95, and Win 98.

Now, I've got a new computer with Win XP. What are my options and how do I proceed with them? If I could find another application that handled cardfiles and calendar/appointments as well, I'd be willing to transfer my data to such an application. But I'm not sure how, especially since I don't think I can load Sidekick 2 onto my XP system. Or am I wrong?

Dear jumblejim,
If you look at the other posts you will see that the best bet you have is to install Sidekick98 but you also need to install the Patch see FAQ1 in this forum for instructions on how to do both.
Starfish don't seem to support any of Sidekick now but they do have a few pages of instructions at their site located under:
Support|Product Support|Discontinued Products|Find Answers
The address is:

The Sidekick Support page is at: (I will break the address into 3 pieces as it makes the page too wide so copy the lot and then remove the gaps then paste it into the address bar)
