Does anyone have a disk or a disk image for a very old BCM 2.5 system?

I was planning to replace in two months time but 'sods law' has come into play and the hard disk has died - I have a bru backup but I guess that is of no use without something to restore it onto.

I'm not holding out too much hope but the phone lines and extensions still work so at least that is something.

Thanks

It will probably be difficult to source the old software, but the newer NT images are available as I have a copy of 3.7 and I think the keycodes might still work.

You might be lucky in a small tip I've learned about. I'm guessing that your hard disk is a Maxtor one?. If so, then you might want to try and obtain a working one of the same make as those hard disks had a circuit board on them that was held with 4 Torex type screws.

I recently had a BCM 50 (Sata) that had almost the same board, although the Sata AND IDE ones aren't interchangeable.

If you can swap out the board from a working disk, then you might be lucky in getting it working again.

The good thing about the BCM 200/400 systems when the hard disk fails is that they will continue to function with the telephony OK, but anything IP such as Voicemail, IP Sets / trunks and web access won't be available.

Dont reboot in the meantime as it may not come backup, Telephony needs the hard drive to boot from.

I already switched off the BCM - took out the hard disk (to see if I can run SpinRite or something on another PC) - BCM unit switched back on with phone lines working and no hard disk at the moment.
Luckily for me, the configuration of all the extensions etc must be written/stored somewhere else apart from on the HD.

Its on maintenance contract but I would suspect the provider is going to struggle. I have a BRU backup but I think that only works on the same version of OS which I think is/was 2 or 2.5
