Had a very difficult setup with the Brother HL-3070CW color wireless, but finally got all the confirmations that it was setup correctly.

Print jobs sent to the printer fail, then print two hours later.

This an XP machine sending print jobs directly to the printer via wireless. Had a Brother wireless before this one, same computer, no problems.

What could be causing a delay of two hours in printing?

You mention you had a difficult time setting it up. Perhaps in the process the driver or its settings became corrupted. If you haven't already, I strongly suggest you delete the printer and reinstall it. During the reinstall, be sure to "replace" the existing driver so that it's overwritten.

That is odd though that the jobs eventually print two hours later.

Thanks for the perspective. I will try deleting and reinstalling, although it does seem to me that I certainly did that a couple times in the course of the attempted setup.

As we may all agree, XP has a habit of getting quirkier the longer it has been installed. That may be a factor as I installed the printer on a Win 7 computer without too much fuss (although my view of the Brother setup software is still very dim).
