Please help!!!

I need help on how to recover a file that was deleted and is no longer in the trash bin. I do not have Norton on my computer and it is very important that I get this file back. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Sorry but the only way is something like Norton. Another warning is do not do any more work on your HDD till you have retrieved the file, or you may not be able to get it back!

If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

There are two kinds of people in the world...those that back up...and those that WISH they had ;)

P20 is correct in stating that you need a utility to recover the file, in my experience your best shot would be norton, although without norton filesaver installed BEFORE the file was trashed, your chances become mush slimmer. NO kidding about the do NOT do anything to your hard drive. That space has been allocated as free space. Anything saved to your hard drive could write over that. So, if you do buy Norton, install to another drive or boot from the CD for your recovery attempt, the act of installing Norton could also render your file unrecoverable.
Best of luck,
PT
