Very BAD news from SUN ?!

Why are there no media or download options for the Intel version of Solaris 9 OE?

We are defering the productization and release of Solaris 9 OE for Intel IA-32. Sun[tm] will continue to ship existing and new versions of Solaris 8 OE for Intel. We have made this decision for business reasons.

... at least to me, this is very sad news...

Sun cite low demand for Solaris on intel and the costs involved in porting and testing
as the reason for delaying release on Solaris9 (on Intel )
It appears the up and down relationship between Sun & Intel has a lot to do with it as well.
