Hi all,

I display an XML document in my web-page (with some simple formatting).

The client wants me to display a vertical line in the left margin wherever a sentence in the document contains the track-changes tags. (Such a line is shown in MS Word by default.)

Is it possible to show such a line ? Any ideas / pointers?

TIA,
Sheila

If your imported XML is being converted into (X)HTML on the server, you can apply a class to all the track-changes tags, and use CSS to apply a border-right.

If you're including straight XML (bearing in mind that not all browsers will support this) you could use an XSL transformation to convert it to (X)HTML client-side, and - as per the first example - use CSS to apply a border.
