I want to create a vertical column on the right hand side of a document so that I can label a page or pages with a title that runs at 90 degrees.

The ability to have it on alternate pages of a section would be great.

the easiest way is to go into Header and Footer and insert Word Art and then rotate it. Because it's part of the header and footer you can set it to be different on odd and even pages, first page etc.

Katherine,

I have tried your suggestion, and whilst it achieves the layout result, I cannot type anything else on the page if the column is top to bottom.

I have tried to find a way to wrap, but no success
