How do I Vertically Align a label or data field in crystal reports

Which version of Crystal Reports are you using??

I haven't quite figured out how to vertically align a field or label either. I am using CR 8.0 .
thanks,

For Crystal 8.5, I'd chose the [View] menu and choose Rulers, Guidelines and Grid for Design. It's probably much the same for you.

I have text objects with a red background and white lettering. The object is two lines in "height" so to vertically align one line of text, I placed the text in a second text object and placed that object on top of the first. I don't know if I'm explaining that clearly, but it's one way to achieve the vertical alignment. I don't think Crystal has that feature built in (as something like Excel does).
