Vertical Alignment of Column Title- in Cognos 8

Hi,

I am trying to change the format of column title in the List Report of Cognos 8. I selected the column title, 1. under properties of List column title
2. under Font & Text, next right to vertical alignment, selected bottom (and other options) from drop-down list (default, top,middle, bottom).

Result: nothing has changed in the position of the column title. I appreciate if anyone can provide any hints or tips.
