Vertias 8.6 remote agent service not present?!

Have vertias 8.6 running on 2000 server doing a remote backup from another 2000 server. Remote backup is installed on the remote computer and the service is running.

However gives a warning about not being started in the log and gives the job status as failed because of this. Everytime a check for the service on the remote server it is up and running. Tried stop and start too on the remote service and has worked sometimes and not others.

Any ideas?
