How do I know what version and build I am on for SQL 2000? I know we are on SQL2000 sp4 but I do not know if any hotfixes have been installed.

Here's a better solution....
Code: 
SELECT ServerProperty('Edition'),
       ServerProperty('ProductVersion'),
       ServerProperty('ProductLevel')

Then compare ProductLevel to the list Steffi1013 provided.
