Version/Registration Issue - KeycodeV2.dll

We have developed an application in VB.NET using the inbuilt Crystal Reports Viewer to run them. The reports are actually being created in CR 8.5.

On a clean machine the application installs and runs the reports fine.

However if the application is installed on a machine with CR 8.5 Designer already on it the reports fail to run, with the message "Cannot find keycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode". The CR 8.5 version is Registered, but the file keycodeV2.dll does not appear to be installed anywhere on this machine, and it is on the clean machine.

Anyone throw any light on this?

Thanks for that assistance - on the right lines.

Having now registered the keycodeV2.dll I now don't get the error.

Unfortunately I don't get any data in my report either. I guess there must be something else missing on the Development machine (the one that doesn't run CR in the application). There is probably another DLL to register, but goodness knows how to find it.

I also don't want to break CR 8.5 as I need it to be working on that machine at a Client site tomorrow!
