Version opened audit event with web services

When using the web services to open a document, the "Version opened" event doesn't appear in the document's audit tab. Is there a way for me to force the audit event to be added?

I've tried downloading a document with both ContentService.DownloadDocument and DocumentManagement.GetVersionContents

WS in LL is a realtively new thing,so I have not checked this but could be a product deficiency,if so report to OT about the problem,or if you know oscript find the webservice call and add auditing as a patch...
