version mismatch problem

Our corporate remedy server is version 5.0

I do most of my work on a Solaris workstation --
the remedy client version is 4.5.1

Several functions no longer work on my UNIX
version. Most notably "Open => new", and the
"Asset Manager" form (error: "ARERR[193] Error
with an entry in the field/assignment list"

Is there a workaround? Our remedy team says that
AR no longer supports Remedy for UNIX
