Version 7 User Class Problem

We are using version 7.1 of cognos.
From the transformer - model properties the authentication tab for access manager configuration is not available.

Does it require a separate license?
A full installation was done initially. Is there any option to set to get the authentication tab back in transformer?

Did you install Access Manager as part of you installation?

Perform an Apply in Configuration Manager if you haven't done so already.

hi,

there are 2 versions of transformer.

One version is on the powerplay CD and you can create models with this version. Otherwise you can not use powerplay

The other version is called 'Transformation server'. This is the same version except, with this version you can insert security (the security tab is visable). This version must be bought serperately.

Which version did you use?

Transformation Server should have the PowerPlay Application on it to install so that you don't need that PowerPlay cd.
