We recently upgraded from 7.5 to 7.6 (Pevasive SQL). We are trying to close the month and we can not go past Order Entry, Processes, Sales history (can not open sales history so we can post sales history transactions).
We have even tried logging in as supervisor so it seems it is not a rights issue.
Server is OS 2003, and workstations are XP Pro.

Suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks

It just does not respond (there is also no + next to the box).

Thanks

Are you able to query the sales history table (OESLSHST_SQL) with a tool like Crystal or MS Access?

Yes we can query that file and last period in there is September, 2005
Progression 7.6.300b
Workflow Exploer 76.300.0.2

Desktop units are on Windows XP Sp2 and Server is Windows 2003 SP 1

At this point I would open a tech support call with Exact.

Already did thanks (so far they do not have the answer either)

Sounds like you are saying you can't expand the menu try to get to the options ? Try as supervisor or demo or guest ?

We tried as supervisor and no luck. We don't even see the + by the Sales History box (not sure if one is supposed to be there but when we double click, still does not open)

Thanks
Wayne

Try logging in as Supervisor, removing access to that module for the user. Log out, then log back in, re-add access and have the user try again. I have seen on a couple of upgrades where menus have been updated and the security seems to get hosed. Removing it and re-adding has worked in some cases.

We tried this and it did not work. We discovered that it appears that the files under the Processes Sales History folder somehow ended up in the Clear Accumulators folder and that the I/M accumulators and A/R accumulators sections are not in the Clear Accumulators folder so it appears the VAR consultant who did our upgrade and transfer over to our new server messed up on copying and pasting.
Any idea how we can correct this boo boo?

Thanks
Wayne

Why would your Macola consultant be copying and pasting? This would be highly unusual.

Do you have Macola demodata insalled and if so id this menu option available there? If so, sychronize security copying from demodata to your live data companies. This may open up a lot of menu options you don't want open, so review this when you are finished.

If this doesn't work, open up visual menu builder, modify user SUPERVISOR, go to the OE module, right click and hit customize. If you can, find the menu option for post sales history trx, right click and select properties. On the general tab, what is the program name? It should be OE0502.

If you do not have this menu option, create it. Click the add menu icon, make the menu name 'Post ~Sales History Trx' make it a COBOL program and enter OE0502 as the program name.

Let us know how this works out.

In the demo company same issue.

When we look at Supervisor and do the customize view, the file you indicate is not shown(nothing is shown). Before we add it, I want to be clear that the correct files which should be under Sales History are actually under the Close Accumulators file and the A/R and I/M accumulator files are no where to be found under Close Accumulators or anywhere else we can see.

Where might we find these?

Thanks
