version 7.2 unavailable fonts error

When trying to convert a FM book to PDF (acrobat v 7.0) I'm getting an "unavailable fonts" error. This was a common problem with v 6.0 but was easily fixed by ensuring that a PostScript Printer was selected from File | Print Setup in FM.

However, it doesn't fix the pronlem for version 7.2. As far as I know it's not a fonts problem (all the fonts are there and can be seen in the paragraph designer). There is some subtle difference between the setup for FM 6.0 and 7.2 regarding Postscript fonts, which I can't figure out.

Can anyone help.

Dear Mrs Silver,
I am having the same problem. I have files that when I open, Frame Maker insists that there is a font error. The Console tells me that I have four fonts missing. So far I have not found a solution, other than making it so those files don't contain those fonts any longer.

If anyone else has a real solution, please let us know.

There is an option in the FM file/preferences/general menu which looks like "remember missing font names". I'm not sure this may solve the problem, but you can try it...
