Version 5 vs Version 7

Hi,

I have no experience of Actuate, but am about to start supporting a Siebel App that I understand uses Actuate version 5 to produce a number of reports.

I am keen to find out what type and 'severity' of differences there are between the 2 versions.

Also, I am looking to get some Actuate training. This, it would appear, will have to be in Version 7. I am therefore looking to find out how useful people think this might be considering that I will actually be using v5.

I would be grateful for anyone input.

I can't comment on the Siebel end of it, but the differences between Actuate 5 and 7 are rather substantial. Again, I am unsure of with Siebel, but the standard version 5 of Actuate will be de-supported this November.

Especially the information about the imminent de-supporting of version 5.
I am now about to search Actuate's web site for more information on this.
