i heard about the ipo version 3, anything new?

Serious work is apparently being done!

We tested on the second released beta, which is running with VM Pro at a customer-site. the system have had many strange "features"..

All our "bug-like" issues have been adressed though, among with MANY others!

I have a feeling that we will get one of the best GA's in the IPO-history, fingers crossed.

In the new ver, you can place a button on someone's phone which can be programed to "self destruct" another person's phone.

Eventually there will be only phone to support! Best feature ever!

Just kidding. :D
It does look like they're really trying to get this one right, I agree Nuggi <crosses fingers>

The biggest change appears to be the addition on line apperance keys etc.

...and the lack of DT handset support (at the moment) - oh - and now you have to buy the CD's as they are no-longer going in with the kit :(

We just received another IP406 for a client install, and ordered an extra CD set for ourselves in the shop. What we received:

406 unit is a rev 2.0, and both sets of CDs are 2.1.15 !!

Whats's the point of getting the CDs from Avaya ( as compared to downloading the most recent stable rev) if what they send is the old buggy rev?

DJTelco,

the point is that avaya makes some sales on it. not much, but still an income. :)

errr - because v3 hasn't been released yet - so 2.1.15 is the lates on CD - 2.1.27 is the latest download (it's actually listed as an upgrade on the web site).

2.1(27) is the latest CD's also, so someone somewhere is shifting old stock - complain.

I sit corrected then. Wasn't aware Avaya were shipping 2.1(27) on CD - sorry.

thanks for the huge stack of 2.1.15 cd' s, V*, C*, J* (NA distribution). It appears that there will be a huge stack of 2.1.27 cd's sitting there in a couple of weeks. I for one will not allow a PO to go out without 3.0 ordered specifically mentioned. Make sure that you do the same to avoid the upgrade fee ($10 Im told, and it wont be available for free download). The 2.1.15 cd's are included in the 403 packaging. 2.1.27, in the only one recieved was separate. Thanks, V*. Make them include the new one since you are paying for it.

IP Office is a 1500lb. gorilla in your sales kit. You need to do what? Yes, it can do that.
