One of my Merlin Legend customers is using Verizon ISDN in some of their other locations and was wondering how to find some information on troubleshooting the ISDN telephones. I know that the telephones are Avaya/Lucent.

Are they connected directly to the central office, or do they go thru a telephone system?

I think that all Avaya phones have to go thru the pbx to connect to the central office, but I am looking into it. I believe if u have one connecting directly to the central office, then it must be a Lucent phone.
What is the model number of the phone?
Lucent internet site only provides support if the customer has warrantee or service agreement. I am looking to see if internet support is provided by anyone else.
support.avaya.com has information of Avaya system. It is best to use the google advanced search to search the website as the website search is cumbersome to useless.

Oh, I was wrong on the Lucent site, they do provide limited service if u don't have a contract with them.
And u CAN connect a Avaya definity isdn phone directly to the central office with a adapter. So if it is really a Avaya phone, support could be had for free at support.avaya.com
