Im tired of dealing with Hughesnet satty service. They suck. Ill spare the details. I need to setup another solution. Im in the sticks of NC. On my Verizon cell phone I get 2 bars. I want to move to Verizons EVDO broadband solution. 5 bars constantly is the goal.

My requirements :
1. need to have broadband speeds to connect to work over a vpn.
2. Need to have a router that accepts the pcmcia air card, was considering the dlink dir-450.
3. Need to have a booster (or router booster)
4. Im cheap. I dont want to spend all that much :)

Any suggestions ?

How bout this ?

PCMCIA TO PCI ADAPTER, Install the evdo air card into my desktop, then just us the Hawkins HWREG1 to boost the signal.
