Question:
how do i VPN the westell to the cisco and 'see' the local ip's in each network
Details:
we have recently got a business DSL with 1 static IP and a westell 327 wireless router modem.
i am trying to connect* that (site 1) with a cisco 3640 ios12.2 (site 2).
*connect = VPN with local IP access from site to site (would like to ping 172.16.1.X at site 1 from 192.168.1.X at site 2) – what is that VPN type called? Pass through? Point to point?
router script example/link will be appreciated.
also, if the westell doesn’t have that capability can you recommend a router model that supports such VPN functionality?
i have a spare 2600 i can buy a dsl card for but my research leads me to believe that the speed sucks on those without an 'encryption card' which i don’t want to invest in.
thank you!
