Does anyone know of a reason why I cannot connect to my office over VPN using DSL from Verizon? I have actually connected once or twice, then try to go back in and the connection attempt just hangs. It is a PPTP connection. Other coworkers have cable and it works fine and I am set up the same way so I question whether Verizon blocks the traffic. I run Windows XP SP2. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you conected directly to the DSL modem? I have a Linksys router that when I was connected to that, I was unable to connect. But when I bypassed it, everything was ok.

Hello,
I too have the same issue. Anybody knows any solution to this?

I have been able to connect to office VPN using Verizon DSL and a linksys wireless router for almost 2 years ... until now when VPN software is no longer able to get to my VPN's IP address. My VPN adminstrators say that Verizon is somehow blocking the IP address or the path to it. Verizon basically says they don't support VPNs. Someone suggested that I may have to submit a new MAC address for my router to Verizon since they may have corrupted their database ... I have Window XP with the lastest service pack and security update, use ZoneAlarm, anti-virus software, ...
