Verizon DSL 7.0 versus T1 line

Can DSL compete with T1 line how about cable verses DSL versus T1? How can you test you line to see how fast it is running?

dsl can compete but it depends on what you want.

dsl is not symmetrical like a t1..
but you downstream is what your after you can dsl at 5 or 6mb now much cheaper then the 1.5mb t1 line...

If you get sdsl it is symetrical and dsl can be faster than a T1 at only 1.5 meg . DSL can run a lot higher than that though it depends on how far you are from the CO . Cable is now touting like 8 meg in some places but that bandwidth is shared with everyone else in the neighborhood that uses cable .
