Just a heads up in case anyone is using EC500/X-Mobile to send calls to Verizon smartphones...
Apparently, Verizon has been, without consent and as a public service, installing 'Call Filter Plus' on many smartphones. This feature quietly blocks EC500 forwarded calls if the originating number does not conform to a standard PSTN numbering format.
I've been using EC500 quite a bit to work from home (seems to be a trend lately), and I've setup a bunch of users with that feature in the past couple months.
On perusing my 'Recent Calls' log on my phone, I saw quite a few incoming calls marked as 'Blocked - High Risk'. These were all 4-digit extensions forwarded via EC500. My phone wasn't giving me a peep or a notification about them, so I had no idea I was missing so many calls. The culprit turned out to be that 'Call Filter Plus' App. Once I opened this app on the phone and switched OFF the option to 'Block Spam Calls', my EC500 sent all calls without issue.
I was still receiving calls from extensions that had a 10 digit DID public number assigned, but all the regular 4 digit internal extensions were blocked. Perhaps Verizon meant well (?), but it has screwed me over.
