Working with a company to convert to Verizon. They have been trying for 9 months. A lot of resale and a lot of CLECs with no way to communicate with Verizon.

What is the deal I have worked with BellSouth, SBC, and many other to get things done.

I can use a 700 number to find out the PIC for the lines but how do I work on the local provider. How can I (if verizon changes the answer every 10 days) verfiy who my local provider is? Anything other then bills!!

Give me so knowledge on Verizon(MCI) Please

DP

When you say "A lot of resale and a lot of CLECs", does that mean that the company is trying to contact Verizon Business through other providers?

Try contacting their Customer Service department. The website lists the number as (866) 232-4282.

Are you just changing LD PIC's or switchubg lines to alternate carriers?

One bill solution
They are trying to get every location no matter what to be bill through Verizon.
Local line and LD

Verizon states, they has a interconnect for 1/3 of the location for the 500 location they have. The interconnect doesn't let them provide the last mile and that is where orders take 30 to 45 day to complete. The other 2/3 of the locations will be just a billing change.

How can I take control? I only see working with the local provider until to do RCFs until Verizon has access into the building.

One of the Verizon guys said to dial 0 to check with we are with Verizon or MCI. I think that it is one good solution.

What gets me is these "Third World Telecom" providers. I have a case in an area where Century tel is the Local. You can get NOTHING BUT CENTURYTEL. T1/PRI only from them. How is that better for my bottom line?

Anyone can order Special Access anything...

If you don't want it on their facility, find a fiber provider.

You can still have the service ride Century Tel's facility to get the provider you want. Either you can order the circuit or the other provider can. Usually it is easier when the other provider does, but not always. The circuit is set up as "meet point" billing between the companies.

How far away is the provider you want to use?

What about point-to-point microwave?
