Hi All,
I have been trying to configure Veritas volume manager 4.1 mp4 with emc powerpath 5.0 on a RHEL 5 server. I have installed the volume manager first and then installed the emc powerpath 5.0 for linux. Aslo installed the required Array support library for emc clariion devices. Now, whenever i run vxdisksetup or scandisks, i am getting kernel panic messages like the following
Dmp_getgw
Blkdev_ioctl
Kobject_get
Blk_get_queue
Dmp_open
Do_open
Bad EIP value
EIP <0000000> kernel panic not syncing: Fatal Exception.
I have been goin thro a lot of documentation and discussion on forums but could not find a solution. Did anyone here knows how to configure vxvm 4.1 mp4 with emc powerpath 5.0 on rhel 5? Please help me.
