Hello,

i have installed VVM3.5 onto one of our solaris9 servers and have encapsulated root and then mirrored it, this worked fine. But i have now created a couple of disk groups and assigned various disks to these disks groups. When i now reboot this server i'm getting the following error message appear on the console:-

ora1 is not in the rootdg diskgroup, cannot start the volume early

startup continues and then it mounts up the new veritas volumes with no issues!

has anyone seen this before?

should i be worried about this?

cheers

nick

can I see the vfstab pls? guessing your ora1 filesystem is a "early" one (mount at boot yes and level 1), I suggest to set it to a higher mount level, such as 2 or 3.

BTW: nothing realy to worry about...

Best Regards, Franz
