Veritas Single Mailbox Restore

Does anyone have any useful information on how to improve Single Mailbox Restore/Backup times on Exchange 5.5 Servers?

The problem is that when perform a restore, it will take just as much time to backup/restore a entire mailbox was it would to backup/restore a complete Exchange server.

Does anyone have any information or can provide tips that would help in decreasing the time it would take to perform this function
