Hello Everbody,

I have a problem with my new installation of Verita Netbackup Datacenter software.I have installed this on a Ultra 5 (for purpose of testing) running Solaris 8 on it i have a patched up this workstation recently.

For some reason i dunno when i try and execute./jnbSA it gives errors and fails to start the error is as follows

loading modified Graphics, version 2

and it stops running, however the other command for backup and restore i.e ./jbpSA works properly (gives the User Interface without any trouble)

I hope somebody might have gone thru this already.

Thanx in advance

I have this exact problem !!! Please let me know any
answer also. I still don't have fix, but mine wasn't
new install, it had worked for about a month, and now
don't know what's wrong or what changed....
Solaris 8 04/01 E250.

I'm no expert on Java, but the error message looks like maybe you need a newer version of Java installed on your server. I'm running Veritas NetBackup and had to install the tarball NB-Java.tar.Z in order for my GUI's to run....
hope that helps a little bit... Brantley Fry

I didn't see the comment from monkey45...
he seems to have hit the nail on the head...
technote ID: 237448 tells you to unset the following variables:
XMICONSEARCHPATH
XMICONBMSEARCHPATH

according to them, unsetting these variables will allow the gui to run. Brantley Fry

when i type jnbSA from the netbackup server, the error message i receive is as follows:

error loading applet.vrts.admin.Launch: java.lang.Error: unrecognized Keycode name: VK_Page_Up.

I can bring up the java window perfectly from my desktop running win2k, secure crt, and exceed.
