Veritas created unknown folders and files

Every night after the backup process done by the backup exec., some folders, 'wfv1' for example, were created, and inside of the folders I found many system files. Those folders usually have about 4Gigs big. What are those folders/files?? I am new to Veritas
Backup Exec, can anyone help? Thanks.
