Veritas Backup Remote Agent for Exchange 5.5 - information store error

I'm running Exch 5.5, veritas backup 8.6, win 2000 svr. The backup has been running fine but now have error top of information store cannot verify.

Have had this prob before - resolved by restoring file from tape.

Any idea how to get rid of this message? and is there another way to confirm that the files are not corrupt or is restoring from tape sufficient proof?

Any wise words would be greatly appreciated.
