Veritas Backup Exec 7.3 build 2575

Error:
"the media provided already contains data from one or more sets created during this operation. This operation cannot be continued"
This error last week, did a manual backup and in the middle of backup it asks me to remove media, when I put the media back in tape drive, I get the same, remove media. If I insert another tape, it will show a "fail" status.

This week I started up VBE and had a different error:
"physical end of tape"

Are my tapes full? or bad? I have software set to overwrite media, do I need larger tapes?
Running HP Travan 8GB data cartridges.

Just a quick post - Veritas has announced that Backup Exec 7.3 has reached its end of life and they will stop supporting it as of March 2002. Consider upgrading.
