i try to run the the remote in stall int he veritas backup exec vers 9.1 but it does not run on workstations in my office that are using windows XP. Would anyone know why? thanks in advance

Are you trying to push it? Is the firewall enabled?

by firewall do you mean the windows XP firewall? just so you know the majority of the workstations use windows 2000 but a few use XP. and for more information so you can help me better i go to tools > serials and installations and then install it right from there. so i don't know if that is what you mean by pushing it.... thanks.

by push, think he means Tools>Install Remote Agents, this is right below serials and installations. I'm using 10d but would assume its in the place.

In addition, once you do that, you should be able to RC on Windows Remote Agents and add your workstations.

I just checked and do not have that option under serials and installations on my version.

You mention problems with WinXP, do the Win2000 install and work properly?
