Is there a way to grant read only access to Veritas Activity Monitor 6.5.3. Everything I've been reading still gives access to change policies etc. Just wanted it for our DBAs to view jobs running and restores running so they can see how there restore is doing but didnt want them to be able to change anything. Thanks.

Tell them to tail -f the logfiles

Great suggestion thanks! They should do this on the client I'm assuming?

Also do you know which directory/log files would contain it for windows and for unix? Thanks!

they should have the logfiles defined in the scripts

Hi Bob, the issue their having is that if the tape is offsite they wanted to be able to know that the restore is not running because the tape is not in the library like you see it in the activity monitor in detail view of the job. Is there anyway to see this in the log files? Thanks.
