I have Veritas 9.1 running on my file server, but I would also like to push some files from my NAS to tape everyday. When I try to get Veritas to read from the Lacie Ethernet RAID NAS it gives me an error that says, "Unable to attach to one of the drives" I have researched this error and it is caused by the remote agent not being installed on that machine. However, the NAS runs Linux embedded so there is no way I could install it. Has anyone been able to make anything like this work? Any help would be great. Thanks.

No its not supported. You can see if the LInux OS is running NDMP and see if they can tell you how to turn it of but it not in the HCL list as a supporte device to backup. Im assuming you have tried to back it up by user defined selection
