Windows NT Server 4.0 all latest sp's, all latest firmwares, and drivers. Latest Data Access.
New OnStream ADR50 (RMA)
New SCSI Controller, and cables _all adjustments made re:veritas
(Running ADR drivers with BE same error)
Reg key settings as suggested by Veritas............
UUGGGHHHHH after all suggestions we are still back to ZERO!
Verification failures. Consistant/inconsistant CRC errors.
We have no problems when running NT native Backup, with verification.
Unfortunately we require the open folder option
Recieving ID events 7, (earlier 11's) no 9's
Everything points to a hardware issue, but only when running BE! ????
Anyone else hear of such problems, Veritas will not budge on it being OnStream's problem as OnStream claims that it is Veritas's problem!!!!

Storage device "OnStream 2" reported an error on a request to read data from media.
Error reported:
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Verify completed on 3/21/02 at 1:08:11 AM.
Verified 67 files in 245 directories.
0 files wre different.
Processed 754,922 bytes in 1 second.
Throughput rate: 43.2 MB/min
PS we did try cleaning the tape heads multiple times.
