Hi All.

I have been tasked with doing routines for different kinds of BCM's. Many backup to the usb.

I have been looking through what few books I have for a way to verify that the scheduled backups have been done, but have not found anything.

Can anyone tell me how I determine that the backup has occurred? (that is, look in the usb?)

Regards

Thanks Curlycord.

I will look at the alarms as you request; however the bcm is approximately 100 km's from me, so plugging it into a computer is currently out of the question...

<smile>

Thanks for your help.

Eventually you will need to plug it into a PC.

The USB stick will get full and you need to clear off the old files on a PC.
But yes, the alarms will show you the status of the backup.

If you want off site notifications for the backup you would have to setup SNMP traps for most of the BCM versions.
A decent solution is to have a system running a SNMP trap receiver which can then send you an email.
