Verifying is slow on Backup Exec. 8.5

Hi,

I'm using Veritas BE 8.5 on Windows 2k member server in Window NT environment. On this server, I have OFO installed backing to Seagate Dat tape drive (DDS4). The backup throughput is 180 MG/min while verifying is only going at 12 mg/min.

One parition is heavily defraged, but I'm constantly defraging the drives.

How can I speed up the verify?
