Hello,
I was wondering how some developers verify the cubes they create? I wrote some macros and pulled some information off the cubes into a text file and ran some sql queries off the database and outputted to a text file. I ran a compare script to see if there were any differences.
I think this is not such a good way but it seemed the only way. I was running the sql script on unix and the macros on windows and having to ftp and stuff like this. The macros would run well and then not so well. It was not pretty but did the verifying of the cubes.
Does anyone know of a different way or know some software out there that allows or aids in this task especially pulling data of the cubes without using macros
