verify report printing 1

Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to go about confirming that a report (or anything else) has actually been printed?

Obviously I can capture the event that initiates the printing, but I need feedback from the printer as to whether the document actually cleared and didn't generate some sort of error at the printer.

Just guessing, but is this going to require a call to the printer driver?
