verify multimedia on upload

I would like to offer my subscribers to upload their images, sounds and videos but I want to verify each of those multimedia on upload to make sure they meet my requirements. Some of my requirements are dimensions, size, and length of the move or sound.

In addition it would be really cool if they can crop and manipulate their picture (and even better for sound/video) while they are uploading it.

I would really any suggestions.
