Ver 9 Print report at completion

I have just completed a rather painful transition from ARCServe ver 6 to CA's BrightStor ver 9.

With the older version I had it set so that the jobs would run, print a report (summery only) and resubit itself. This is/was my nightly backup.

I've got the job running properly and resubmitting itself but I can't find how to send the end of job report to a printer. I am currently printing the report manually but that is fraught the problems.

Hopefully I've just overlooked the obviuos.

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

We print summary reports here using the Alerting trouble ticket option - but this works the same in v9 as it did in 6.61 and 2000 so I assume you are doing something different?
 
Oops! I forgot to mention the critical fact that I am backing up a Netware 4.12 server (fully patched). Sorry!

From what I can gather Alter needs a Windows client "The workstation you use to run Alert Manager must be on at the same time the alert is sent". That doesn't really suit our operations, not when I can't use Windows98.

We didn't use Alter in ver 6, but I can't remember how I set it up! Curses!
 
From what I remember back with ArcServe 6.1, I had the job print out the summary but it had to print it to a netware queue. I stopped this years ago, when we moved to pure IP printing.

The ALERT function came out for Netware with ARCserveIT version 7. I have mine installed onto an XP box, so I can have the service running but not need it logged in.

I've just installed BrightStor 9. After I get it up, I'll look into the reports for you.
